Born in 1978, Idan Toledano is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, music producer, and cultural entrepreneur based in Israel. He holds a BA in Western & Eastern Music and Education from the University of Haifa, an MA in Cultural Studies from Sapir College, and is a certified dialogue group facilitator from Oranim College. Idan specialized in Flamenco Guitar in Seville, Spain, and composes and performs music for theater and movies.
He co-founded the multicultural ensemble Quartetoukan together with singer Miriam Toukan, with whom he also performs as a duo in concerts around the world. He is the musical director of Marrakesh Express, a band specializing in Judeo-Andalusian music and the rich musical traditions of Sephardic Jews, and serves as the artistic director of the Jewish-Arab Women’s Choir RANA. For many years, Idan has been active in intercultural mediation and outreach through music, performing and touring with various ensembles in Israel and abroad.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned artists including David Broza, Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul and Mary), Chava Alberstein, Bobby McFerrin, Yair Dalal, Ravid Kahalani, Esther Rada, and many more.
